What do you value most in your client relationships?

I value the relationship itself. After 18 years of working with our clients, there can be a special bond that makes you feel like family. They involve us in a very important piece of their life and the future of their family. I love that my clients share family news and events with me as well as ask to inquire about my family. When your client tells you that they can’t wait to see you to catch up, you know that it is more than just about the numbers.

What sparked your interest in financial planning?

I knew I wanted to be a financial planner from the first month I started working as a client service specialist. Every time my advisor would discuss planning, and I would work on a new client helping put materials together, I was fascinated by the information. Thus, I devoted time to learning about financial planning. Now I get to spend every day doing what I love.

When you retire you’re going to…?

When I retire, I would like to do two things: First, give back by serving families in the NICU at the hospital where my children were born. Two of my sons spent time there in their younger years. Everyone was so kind and generous with their time and how they care for the parents as well as the child. I would like to find a way to support that effort by volunteering and helping other families. When I am not doing that, my husband and I plan to travel and see as much of the world as possible. We love experiencing all that a new town, state or country has to offer.

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

I was born and raised on Long Island in a large Italian/Irish family. I spent most of my young years on the ocean. I currently live in Waxhaw, NC, with my husband and our six children, four of which still live at home with us! I love Waxhaw; it is growing into a beautiful little town with local shops, restaurants, and entertainment. I encourage you to experience this little gem I call home.
